Pneumonia is a respiratory infection characterized by inflammation of the lungs. Its usually caused by bacteria, viruses, parasites, or fungi. This oil blend has 4 oils that have been proven effective against respiratory conditions. The blend can either be used as a massage oil for the chest and back or you can use a few drops of the essential oils (exclude the carrier oil) in a steam or diffuser.

A recent study showed its usefulness in treating non-bacterial sinusitis. When given medicine containing eucalyptus oil, patients suffering from non-bacterial sinusitis showed faster improvement.
Ravensara is a potent and rare oil with many properties including: analgesic, anti-allergenic, antibacterial, antimicrobial, antidepressant, antifungal, antiseptic, antispasmodic, antiviral, disinfectant, diuretic, expectorant and relaxant. Ravensara is particularly helpful at loosening and getting rid of phlegm. This oil is rare and can be hard to find in stores, so you may have to buy it online.
Recipe & Directions
- 1 tablespoon of your choice of carrier oil (jojoba, coconut, almond, etc)
- 5 drops thyme oil
- 5 drops niaouli oil
- 10 drops eucalyptus oil
- 10 drops ravensara oilMix all the oils together and massage over back and chest, repeat several times a day. Alternatively, use the essential oils in a diffuser or in a steam without a carrier oil.
