If you are alive and well in the Northern Hemisphere, then around this time you might start to experience the exhilaration that comes with the awakening of the earth around you. Yes, a deep and delicious winter slumber it might have been for the bears n’ rabbits, and hopefully you yourself were able to catch a few extra zzzz’s.

As the Spring Equinox approaches, the forces of nature are there to aid us all in our own awakening. We look to mother nature for guidance and out from our cozy dens we come dancing into the glorious warmth of the sun.

Here is a 5-day ritual to awaken with the planet as it transitions from winter to spring. To get a longer, more detailed 4-week Winter to Spring cleansing plan, subscribe at www.afullerlifeforyou.com.

What to do

In the first 3 days we are making space by cleaning and letting go of old stuff.

DAY 1. Begin a fresh organic fruit cleanse with vegetable juices and mineral water. If this is too difficult, try eliminating dairy and bread for these 5 days. Use your intuition and be gentle with yourself.

DAY 2. Go through your closets and drawers to bag up what you no longer need or want. Donate it or take it to a thrift/vintage shop.DAY 3. Do a deep clean of your entire home. Put on some enchanting and uplifting music. Tie up your hair or put a head band in. Open your windows if it is 50 degrees Fahrenheit or above, and go into the cracks and crannies of your home with high quality cleaning supplies that are non-toxic.

In the next two days we are planting seeds for cultivation.

DAY 4. Be present with yourself in a one-two hour meditation. Sit by a candle with a notebook and pen. Meditate. Chant. Write down what you want to see blossom in the next coming months, be it a career, a relationship, a garden, etc.

DAY 5. Get outside and feel yourself flowing with mother nature. Take long walks and pay attention to the changes occurring and the seedlings bursting forth. You, too, are bursting forth. Use this day to enjoy the space you made and blossoms that are on their way.
